Importance of Rerproduction
Reproduction is very important for any living organism. It is what helps a species survive. If this process did not occur, then none of us would be here today.
This process is only successful for a species if the offspring is fertile, which means capable of reproducing. There are forms of reproduction. They are called asexual reproduction and sexual reproduction. Asexual reproduction usually involves bacteria. This is when the chromosomes are the same and clones are formed. Sexual reproduction consist of animals and plants and this is when half of the chromosomes from each parent are taken (genetically variable).

Meiosis vs. Mitosis
A type of sexual reproduction is Meiosis. Meiosis is when there is cell division that results with haploid cells. Gametes such as the male sperm and female eggs are used in this process to form these cells. Mitosis is when a cell duplicates into two identical daughter cells. Both consist of the steps Prophase, Metaphase, Anaphase, and Telophase. But, Meiosis has to do two rounds of these steps since it results in four haploid cells.
Reproduction in Scorpions
Scorpions are much different from humans when it comes to to reproduction. The female scorpion has a reproductive organ called the gonophare where the sperm from the male is entered. After that, the young will grow inside the female scorpion's body and born alive. Unlike spiders, they do not lay eggs and hatch even though they are very similar to spiders.
